Useful information regarding Poker Hand Range Calculator What is range in Poker? A range is a combination of hands a player might have at a given time. Thinking about what players have in the form of a range is valuable because it allows you to think about all of the possibilities of a hand. To calculate your poker equity - or how often you should win a hand, you can use a simple formula. Count how many outs you have. For example, if you're drawing to a flush, you have 13 suited cards, two in your hand, two on the board - leaves 9 outs. The chance of you hitting on the turn is 9.4 (+4) = 40%. Our poker calculator lets you simulate any poker hand and calculates the chances of you holding a winning hand. This flexible tool allows you to run through scenarios, revisit a moment of unlikely glory, get an edge by playing it safe, or work out the odds of your draw paying off. As you can see on the table above the straight in three card poker out ranks the flush. This is unique to the game as in every other poker game the flush always out ranks the straight. The reason for the change in rankings is the fact that there are more ways to make a flush with three cards than there are ways to make a straight.
